Description
Here is my latest finished commission. First a little backstory:
Some weeks ago, a high school classmate and fellow artist approached me with an idea. Her gradeschool-aged daughter draws manga, and as a Christmas present, she wanted me to interpret one of her daughter's drawings in my 3-D art style. She settled on the image linked here: [link]
And here's the link to my conceptual render of the drawing: [link]
Anyway, it's done now Both her and her daughter have a lot of talent My classmate is mainly a painter and her work is gorgeous. Unfortunately, a lot of it was given away. But at least she has pictures of some of it.
Since I only have one bow and arrow set for Studio, I had to "settle" for Aiko3. She isn't terrible; on the contrary, she's still my favorite model to date. But I had a specific outfit planned, and it didn't convert well. So, I used some content that I haven't used in a very long time. Don't know if you're familiar with Freja, I don't remember where the set came from but it goes back quite a few years and it's a really nice set. Heck, the whole setup is old school. But with UE2 and UberShader, things came out fairly well.
The environment is old school as well, I believe it's the Woodland Set from DAZ. I used some brushes in GIMP at the bases of the trees and grass to take the edge off. I gave my signature a carved look, it goes well with the scene, it's quite visible yet it isn't distracting
My friend and classmate loves this piece I'm sending her a signed print along with the drawing her very talented daughter made Honestly I would like to keep it but to be fair it isn't mine. But at least I have a scanned copy.
I linked the drawing to this description to prove to people that indeed I do have references when I say I do

I have the set, it's one of two awesome ones done by Eldritch (along with Djinni, his cute Arabian harem girl.) I haven't USED it yet though, that's going to have to change after seeing this.
